After nearly 40 years with RE/MAX and known as one of the most influential leaders in real estate, Elton Ash, Executive Vice President of RE/MAX Canada, announced his upcoming retirement earlier this month. His last day will be October 31, and he looks forward to this next phase of his life.
“I am excited for the future of the RE/MAX organization in Canada. Under Christopher Alexander‘s leadership, the RE/MAX Canada team is an incredibly talented and dedicated group of people. Our industry has continued to evolve, and the RE/MAX Canada team and support services have led that transformation,” says Elton.
RE/MAX has been a part of Elton’s life since joining as a sales associate in Saskatoon, SK in February 1984. By 1990, he was a broker/owner in Penticton, BC, then four years later joined RE/MAX Western Canada in Kelowna, BC, as part of the management team, where he helped new franchises grow.
He continued to move-up in the company, and even moved to the United States for a while to help RE/MAX founders Dave and Gail Liniger grow the commercial side of the business. Eventually, he landed in his current position, based in Western Canada, where he’s remained ever since.
In a recent interview with REM reporter Susan Doran, Christopher Alexander, President of RE/MAX Canada said, “Elton is the definition of an iconic real estate leader. He has achieved more in his career than most people can fathom and is an incredible person, too. While we will miss him dearly at RE/MAX, I am excited for him and his next chapter. Thank you, Elton, for all of your wisdom and guidance throughout our many years of working together. RE/MAX Canada is privileged to continue to build on your incredible legacy.”
Please join us in congratulating Elton for the immense impact he has had on both the brand and our membership. We wish you all the best in this next chapter!
